Former US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he had received life-threatening threats from Iran.

"Big threats on my life by Iran. Moves were already made by Iran that didn't work out, but they will try again," the Republican presidential nominee wrote on Truth Social. And all of the US military "is watching and waiting he added.
Trump in the Thanksgiving Day post on Truth Social, was thanked by US Congress for the "unanimously approving more money for the Secret Service." "Great," he quipped. "Now more men, guns, and weapons surround me than ever before.".
Trump's comments came after gunshots were heard close to his location in Florida on September 15, even though officials later said he was safe.
The incident on September 15, that officials have described as an apparent attempted assassination, is the second time within months since an attempt was made on the former president's life to kill him.
A July 13 shooting during a political rally in Pennsylvania left Trump lightly wounded when a bullet grazed his ear. The gunman, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was killed when Secret Service agents returned fire.

US intel warns Trump on real assassination threat from Tehran

Trump was informed on Tuesday by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence about "real and specific threats" from Iran to assassinate him or destabilize the US, his campaign said late on Tuesday.

"Intelligence officials have identified that these continued and coordinated attacks have heightened in the past few months, and law enforcement officials across all agencies are working to ensure President Trump is protected and the election is free from interference," Steven Cheung, Trump campaign communications director, said in a statement.

Make no mistake, the terror regime in Iran loves the weakness of Kamala Harris and is terrified of the strength and resolve of president Trump," Cheung said.
"He will let nothing stop him or get in his way to fight for the American people and to Make America Great Again.".
